What customers say?

“ Amazing Vibe ! Great Music ! We only had hot tea to drink, (cold) so not to much help there. Also first time at a Yakitori bar . We had Eggplant special fabulous!! Octopus balls great presentation, not as flavorful as they looked I do have a cold Fried prawns beautiful, these didn’t come with sauce and I think they needed it . Fried snapper very fresh ! Small spinach salad was delicious! Scottish beef, tender piece of beef , they explained it would be medium rare, it was not but it was still very tender ! The only real reason I gave it four stars and not five is because we arrived at 9:20 pm on a Thursday evening people were still there , yet several of the staff stared at us like they were deciding to let us in. Instantly we were told that last order would need to be in by 9:45pm . So even though it was fun walking down the steps and excited to see a cool restaurant with perfect lighting and fun music Wham the vibe was different This seems to be the M.O. of most restaurants now after Covid and it’s sucking the fun out of eating out in all countries. Instantly you feel unwelcome. This is my major pet peeve so sorry to be a rain cloud . I was a server for 15years, if we closed at 10 that meant we sat them until ten . I would get home at 12 or 1 am. Had our reception been more inviting I probably would have bought a bottle of Sake and ordered more food. On positive note the staff was doing an excellent job cleaning! Including the menus . ”

“ How fortunate and lucky are those that get to experience The Cave. The atmosphere is so fun, the food is great, particularly the Vienna sausage and Scotch Fillet Steak with condiments provided…and if I had a last meal on earth, it would be the popcorn chicken aka food of the gods… seriously, the name does this incredible dish little justice. We personally found everything was well priced. (Especially compared to Aus where we can’t even afford to dine out) The really travesty of it all, is that we indeed live in Aus, so it’ll be a while before we can visit again, probably a good thing, I’d spend every dollar I’ve ever earned here if I lived closer. Thank you so much, your venue made us feel happy and grateful to be on this earth. ”

“ It shares the same bar with Tanuki, and the food was absolutely delicious. You should definitely try the Mummy — the mix of pork and shrimp is perfectly balanced, with the prawn flavour not too overpowering. The texture and taste blend nicely, making it one of the standout dishes of the night. ”
